What will be included in your Home Inspection

From the InterNachi Standards of Practice

Exterior: Doors and Windows, siding decks, porches, patios, stairways, walkways, driveways, grading, gutters, leaders, downspouts and drainage.

Roof Covering:  Shingles, covering material, penetrations, skylights, flashings.

Foundations:  Basement, slab, crawlspace, floor framing, insulation, ventilation.

Attic area:  Access, framing, insulation, ventilation.

Plumbing:  Water supply, piping, drain, waste and vent systems, faucets and fixtures, fuel supply, water heaters, drainage and flow

Electrical:  Service entrance, electrical panels, wiring, switches, receptacles, GFCI outlets, lighting.

Heating and Cooling:  Heating equipment, central air conditioning equipment, energy supply, combustion air and ventilation,  distribution system and condensation drainage.

Fireplaces and Chimneys:  Chimney exterior, caps, firebox, damper, hearth extensions

Interior:  Floors, walls, ceilings, windows, doors, stairs, cabinets, countertops, installed appliances, venting, smoke and CO2 alarms, garage doors and closers.
